So much so that Tania Buckley’s 3142 Stonehaven Crt, five-bedroom, marital home — listed for $18 million — has extended the expressions of interest campaign, with some overseas buyers trying to get here to give it the once over.
Page 13 hears the former Mrs Buckley is on the cautious side (overly sensitive has also been a phrase bandied about) and is wary of any open for inspections in the home she bought with the former Collingwood coach for just under $4 million in 2007.
The new interior now boasts a yoga room, and Buckley is hoping the private sale goes through sooner than later so she can embark on a new chapter to pursue her dream of owning a vineyard.
“The expressions of interest campaign has been extended following significant interest from overseas purchasers, this will allow them additional time to visit the property in person,” Kay and Burton managing director Ross Sava told Page 13.
“Melbourne’s luxury real estate market has had an extraordinary start to the year with some incredible high-end property coming to market and insatiable appetite from buyers with not enough stock to keep up with demand. The elevated international demand for prestige property we saw last year has certainly carried through into 2024, with overseas purchasers showcasing particular interest in the $10-million plus segment, an influx we haven’t seen since 2017.”
