Dreams of a tree change and owning a vineyard have prompted Tania Buckley putting her palatial Toorak marital home up for sale.

The ex-wife of Collingwood champion Nathan Buckley wants a cool $18 million for her five-bedroom 3142 pile in exclusive Stonehaven Court.

She purchased the mansion with her then husband back in 2007 for just under $4 million.

Tania has been raising her two sons Jett and Ayce at the family home since the couple’s high profile split in 2020.

She said she was “excited” to be moving onto the next chapter of her life.

“My sons are on the circuit running the Australian Kart Championships along with other karting events that takes us all around Australia.

“We divide our time between Melbourne and Tasmania and I’m really excited because my next major design project will include building a new dream house which will incorporate a huge passion of mine, wine and my first ever vineyard.

“I can’t wait to see how a move and the future unfolds for our family.”

The former Brownlow Medal red carpet favourite surprised real estate watchers by placing the stunning trophy home on the market this week.

The sale is being handled by luxury property specialist Ross Savas and Jamie Mi from Kay & Burton.

“The owner has started on a new project and is intending on building and designing a new home and vineyard,” luxury property doyen Savas said.

“She has meticulously designed and looked after this home which now presents a new opportunity for another family to take ownership of this incredible property.”

The blue-chip home was previously the residence of the Swiss Counsellor and backs onto Clendon Rd, one of the most exclusive streets in Melbourne with richlister and former Essendon president Paul Little’s extravagant property behind it.

After meeting at a St Kilda restaurant in 1999, Nathan Buckley and a then Tania Minnici were never far from the spotlight.

She quickly became a prominent fixture during awards season, forging a reputation for risque but eye-catching outfits, including the most famous of all – an exposed diamond-encrusted G-string in 2001.

Ex husband Buckley has since moved on from the marriage breakdown, having previously dated cosmetic nurse Alex Pike and is now with influencer Brodie Ryan.
