Want to own Dannii Minogue’s canary yellow BAFTA showstopper? Daniel Rioli’s WAG Paris Lawrence’s Brownlow sparkler? Or feel like Melbourne Cup winner Michelle Payne in electric blue at Flemington?
Their all yours, well as long as you can squeeze into them.
Our homegrown haute couturists Jason Grech and Alin Le Kal are coincidentally both putting on sample sales to clear up space in the ateliers for their upcoming collections and impending renovations.
Expect bridal wars on Saturday with lines lasting metres long outside their respective ateliers.
Grech is putting a number of his bespoke red carpet ensembles, a few worn by none other than our very own Minogues, on sale at his North Meloburne studio, some for as low as $300.
“We are making way for a renovation at our atelier so have decided to have a sample sale so brides have the opportunity to purchase one of our dresses for a minimum of the cost.
Le’Kal said the last time he staged a sale like this there were lines running all down Toorak Rd.
“Given the response then, I’m offering more pieces this weekend to satisfy demand,” he laughed, saying the intricate gown worn by Nathan Buckley’s glamour ex Alex Pike at this year’s Glamour on the Grid was also up for sale.
