US pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will make her first-ever trip to Australia later this month. But bad news, Melbourne fans — it’s Sydney only.
The singer behind mega hits Driver’s License, Sour, Good 4 U, and Vampire, will visit the Harbour City to promote her new album, Guts, and do a Q&A session with her fans, also known as Livies, on September 22
“I can’t wait to get down to Australia,” Rodrigo said.
“I’ve never been and I’m so excited to meet everyone. I’ll see you soon Livies!”.
Rodrigo faced heavy criticism over songwriting credits after online campaigns highlighted similarities with her hit Deja Vu, and Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer.
Soon after, another campaign pointed out resemblances to Good 4 U and Paramore’s Misery Business.
“I think it’s disappointing to see people take things out of context and discredit any young woman’s work,” Rodrigo said.
“All music is inspired by each other.”
