Lauren Phillips’ ratings slide after glowing start at KIIS FM

Radio ratings presented a mix bag with Lauren Phillips’ popularity sliding after a stellar start on KIIS FM.

There was a mixed bag of breakfast results in the latest radio ratings survey with a shuffle of shows behind GOLD FM king Christian O’Connell.

Lauren Phillips and Jase Hawkins, who started together on KIIS FM in August, suffered their first setback with a drop from 6.3 to 5.4.

FOX FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick also dropped slightly (8.7) while Nova’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny lifted (8.9) to come in behind O’Connell (10) who was on top for a 16th consecutive survey.

Smoothfm’s Jennifer Hansen and Mike Perso recorded a big gain of 1.2 to 7.3 and Triple M’s Marty Sheargold rose from 4.5 to 5.5. Overall smoothfm recorded positive results after this month marking its 10th year on air.

3AW’s breakfast kings Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft stayed well clear on top at 19.4 with ABC breakfast on 9.0.

In drive FOX FM’s Tommy Little and Carrie Bickmore, who is doing the show from her Europe sabbatical, dropped 9.7 to 8.8 with Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel up to 9.1 behind GOLD FM on 12. GOLD FM beat 3AW in afternoons and drive.

SEN recorded small downward turns except in the high profile breakfast slot which moved up 0.8 from 1.9 to 2.7.

Across the board though it was still a modest return for the sports station.
