Disgraced former Lark Distillery CEO Geoff Bainbridge has quietly slipped back to Melbourne and taken up residence in one of the city’s most luxurious apartment buildings.

It’s been 18 months since Bainbridge’s world came crashing down after an expletive-laden home video of the naked CEO smoking an ice pipe went viral.

Bainbridge claimed the video was recorded years earlier during a wild night out in Asia with strangers who attempted to extort money from him.

Resigning as chief executive of Lark Distillery, an ASX-listed alcohol company valued at $340 million, Bainbridge released a saccharine statement saying he was the victim of a crime.

“I’m a victim of extortion but that wouldn’t have occurred without my poor judgment. I am deeply remorseful for my own actions,″ the statement read.

But an investigation by Page 13 revealed the filming had actually taken place in the millionaire’s Middle Park home.

There was a distinctive light fitting in the background of his home movie where he had one hand on the glass pipe and the other on, er, a different sort of pipe.

Bainbridge subsequently fled the country in a cloud of smoke and is now trying to erase the past, starting with off-loading the Middle Park pile and its furnishings.

The now infamous curly lamp fitting was relocated away from the bedroom along with some prints and the up-market house was sold off market via Kay and Burton real estate last month.

Page 13 was told the sale was to be done as quietly and quickly as possible, with an estimated $4-million price tag.

But Page 13 is aware there are plenty of pissed-off tradies who worked on the Middle Park house who are still waiting to be paid for the renovations.

Following his resignation the former Grill’d hamburger founder fled to La La Land, where he quickly set up a personal website to spruik his talents and services as a “founder, investor, mentor” with the slogan “Get Shit Done.”

“Geoff Bainbridge has carved out a signature leadership style that is all his own”, the website reads.

“Bainbridge has a resume that showcases the business acumen that see’s (sic) him today as one of Australia’s savviest consumer and design focused entrepreneurs.

Modest to a fault.

Bainbridge is now back in town and residing at none other than property developer Tim Gurner’s swanky new St Kilda redevelopment, St Moritz, designed for Melbourne’s uber wealthy.
