There are plenty of bushy ageing eyebrows in the MCC Committee room, but there were also some arched ones last Friday night when Carlton Football Club CEO Brian Cook took his plus one to the Blues win against the Saints … none other than former prez Luke Sayers.

It was a bold move by the Cook with many in the AFL taken aback that the persona non grata ex president was been brought back so publicly into the fold.

The pair are good friends, with Sayers luring Cook from Geelong to be his right hand man after an extraordinary career at the cattery where he was widely regarded as the best in the business.

They were a dynamic duo, that was until January when Sayers infamous “dick” pic, blew everything up, literally.
