Cats physio linked to Gary Rohan ‘quietly’ exits club as Bucks’ private Insta page sends tongues wagging

As Nathan Buckley’s Instagram antics set tongues wagging, down the highway a certain Cats physio is said to be upset at having been shown the cat flap from her role at the club.

As the summer days drift away, Page 13 finds Melbourne’s favourite holiday pastime is getting the lowdown on the latest leggy brunette linked to Nathan Buckley.

Just who is following the newly single Collingwood coach on his private Instagram page, Nth Caulfield Bogan?

More important is who he follows back. It’s got AFL circles positively thirsty.

Thirst trap might be more appropriate. Any Melbourne model who has merely liked Bucks' posts starts locker room chatter.

For instance, AFL insiders were hot to link the coach with a model well known among Melbourne social circles. But sources close to the model say there is nothing to see here and rumours are just that, not to mention she has a boyfriend.

Or what about jaw-dropping Melbourne cosmetic nurse Alex Pike? The clean-living, hard working single mum has fast made a name for herself as the cosmetic jab queen to the stars, with her business Face by Alex Pike.

Down the highway, the fallout from AFL 2020 hub life is continuing to claim more victims.

Last year Geelong forward Gary Rohan and wife Amie separated amid some messy hub activity in Perth and Sydney. The Cats hadn’t even made it to the Gold Coast hub before the purrs turned to hissy fits.

A Cats physio was linked as a third party, causing the club to do a double take.

The physio, once favoured by Gary Ablett to strap his ankle, was quietly let go from Kardinia Park.

A call to the Geelong Football Club on Friday revealed this was indeed “correct”. It’s understood her contract had expired. Very good timing for the club but less so for the physio who is believed to have been upset at having been shown the cat flap.

But the Cattery has other matters on its mind, claws out is putting it mildly since the Christmas lay over.

But back to Bucks, word is he has no intention of been attached to anyone quite yet and is said to be enjoying his single status. And why not in the South Yarra bachelor bolthole owned by good friend Paul Roberts, a sports exec at agency TLA where Bucks is managed.

The pad has served many heartbroken AFL luminaries. Geelong great Billy Brownless reportedly stayed there when his marriage to former wife Nicky Brownless was on the rocks. It’s understood James Brayshaw also spent some time living there when he was dealing with the breakdown of his marriage.

In December, Page 13 revealed Bucks and his wife of more than 18 years, Tania, had separated. The couple released a joint statement to this column saying they had mutually decided to separate as far back as January 2019.

With plenty of time to work on things amicably it’s no wonder Bucks has become Melbourne’s most in-demand bachelor. Sources close to the ex-Pies captain say he is adept at all things on the ‘Gram, especially as the Millennials call it, sliding into the DMs.

Across at Punt Rd, sightings of coach Damien Hardwick and his new squeeze Alexandra Crow have taken on a life of their own. Like the Loch Ness monster, everyone has a theory and seems to have seen the controversial couple cosying up in various coffee shops around the inner city, er, for some time. Lurking around the Elwood canals last week “looking downcast” was the latest offering.
