“Slava Ukraini” was accused Block fraudster Emese Fajk’s cry after revealing herself as a freedom fighter in Ukraine.
In one of the weirder stories of the week (well, then again there was the transgender pug) the woman who has been in hiding since conning the Block into selling her a $4m house she couldn’t pay for, has bobbed up in Ukraine wearing camo gear and holding a gun.
“I have been in Ukraine since the 12th of March,” Fajk posted to social media after the headlines screeched.
“I signed my first contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on my day of arrival in the country and for the past four months I have been a serving member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will continue my service until Ukraine’s absolute victory,” Fajk wrote.
“I took on a more public facing role on the first of July as the Legion’s Communications Director.
“Since then I have been working to amplify the Legion’s voice, to share more personal stories.”
Page 13 hopes this time the stories have a grain of truth to them.
Glory to the Ukraine, indeed!
In reality television’s most elaborate scandal, mysterious bidder Fajk, then 28, surprised viewers and Blockheads alike when she outbid serial Block buyer Danny Wallis to score Jimmy and Tam’s Palm Springs style Brighton home for a record price of $4.256m.
The was $966,000 above the $3.29m reserve, supposedly leaving Jimmy and Tam with $1.066m in prize money.
But it all turned out to be bogus when Fajk was unable to complete the sale.
The scandal saw Fajk accused of presenting bank transfer receipts falsely indicating the money had been paid.
Pray for Ukraine.
