Adele was brought to tears after spotting Celine Dion in the audience during her show in Las Vegas.
Video shared online shows the celebrated singers share a hug during Adele’s show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace before the British crooner returned to the stage.
The Rolling in the Deep singer then told the audience: “Give it up for Ms Celine Dion”.
The Canadian diva then wiped her eyes with a tissue before standing up and acknowledging the audience with a wave as Adele belted out When We Were Young.
In another video, Adele described Dion as “one of my favourite people of all time”.
Adele returned to The Colosseum this weekend to continue her residency after breaking for a series of shows in Munich.
Dion, who previously held a residency at The Colosseum, made a moving return to live performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.
The 56-year-old star, who has been singing since the age of 12, stopped performing in 2019 and was later diagnosed with the “one in a million” rare neurological disorder, which triggers unbearable pain and muscle stiffness.
Dion has previously opened up about how the illness had wreaked havoc on her life after decades in the limelight and how she worried about the effect it was having on her children.
The Quebec-raised star had three sons with her late husband Rene Agnelli — Rene-Charles, 23, and 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.
She said had to be open with her kids about her condition and had taught her younger sons what to do in an emergency.
“Four years, I stayed in my house,” she said.
“But I want my kids to know that mum’s fine.
“We had to have panic buttons, they know what to do, we rehearsed.
“How many people in the world have conditions — they have to let their kids know, they might have to call 911.
“I will not lie to my fans, my kids and myself.”
