‘Melbourne, you’re the love of my life’: Taylor Swift packs MCG for third night of Eras Tour
Taylor Swift fans have packed out the MCG for the third night in a row, blowing away the US megastar, who says she will “never forget” the commitment from the Melbourne crowds.

Taylor Swift mesmerised a packed-out MCG on the third night of her Melbourne tour, with 96,000 more fans flocking to see the US megastar.
She told the crowd: “Some stadium girl math for you … 96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night. 96,000 people tonight.
“Those are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on a tour — and you did it three times.
“The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights. Melbourne, you’re the love of my life.”
During her Evermore set she told the crowd: “I’ve seen commitment in the costume design department of this crowd … on a level I’ve never seen before in my life.”
“It’s like the crowd that you saw in your childhood bedroom when you were like I want to be a singer,” she added.

Swift added: “And recently I got to tell you that my brand new album The Tortured Poets Department ... I’m so proud of this album and I cannot wait for you to hear and I’m so just counting down the minutes to share it with you.”
Swift shook her head in disbelief and shed a tear as the crowd erupted.
Screams and claps echoed throughout the MCG for at least a minute.
“Thats unforgettable for me, I’ll never forget it,” Swift said in response to the applause.
Stars come out to play with Tay Tay
Melbourne’s celebrity Swifties showed their true colours, and glittering get-ups, for Taylor Swift’s triumphant MCG takeover.
TV presenters, musicians, radio hosts, actors and AFL stars were in sellout crowds that swelled to 288,000 concertgoers across three nights.
Swift’s Melbourne shows set a new a crowd attendance record for the pop megastar.
Actor Olympia Valance threw on a designer dress and elevated shoes to attend the Eras show with a friend. Her friend soon figured out Valance’s footwear choice, saying on socials: “Now I know why you wore those gigantic heels – you saw so much more than me.”
Cats superstar Tom Hawkins and wife Emma also got their taste of TayTay. Emma also accompanied their daughter to premium seats in the front row.
“I love Taylor Swift so much, and seeing her again is a dream come true. But this time, with my daughter by my side, it’s truly unforgettable,” Emma said on Instagram. “Mother-daughter duos danced, cried, (and) sang along to every song … our hearts were filled with gratitude. This concert will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
Stage star Rob Mills, who plays William Shakespeare in the hit musical & Juliet, channelled The Bard in his eight-word concert review.
“The KoolAid was drunketh. She’s the real deal-eth,” Mills wroteth.
He and fiancee, The Project co-host Georgie Tunny, also posted loved-up Instagram reels, with Swift’s hit, Lover, as the soppy soundtrack.
TV presenter, producer and comedian Rove McManus summed up the show with a rhyme. “Players gonna play,” McManus wrote, “Taylor’s gonna slay.”
TV and radio star Chrissie Swan sang and sobbed in a corporate box.
“Taylor Swift-induced sheer lady madness,” Swan reflected on socials. “There’s everything here – weeping, losing my mind, singing across the room.”
Swan said she “waited 230 days for this very moment”, and didn’t “care a jot” what anyone thought of her “unbridled joy”. “Also,” Swan added, “I am insane.”
AFLW coaching prospect Danielle Laidley frocked up with a miniskirt and tour T-shirt. “Getting our Taylor Swift on,” Laidley wrote on socials.
Footy players including Josh Daicos, Max Gawn and Mason Cox also went to the concert.
