James Packer’s summer carnival kicked off this week, with actors, businessmen and famous offspring all boarding the billionaire’s superyacht IJE in Antibes, France.
On board Packer’s $200 million vessel was US actor Robert De Niro, however perhaps more interesting was the arrival of newlyweds Brooklyn Beckham and actor Nicola Peltz, who are midway through their European honeymoon.
Beckham, 23, was all smiles as he shook Packer’s hand, while his new wife Peltz lent in for a kiss on the cheek.
It didn’t take long for the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham to take his shirt off and jump off the side of the 108m vessel into the crystal blue waters.
The couple both have family links to Mr Packer.
Peltz’s father, US billionaire and investor Nelson Peltz, and James’ father Kerry are understood to have been close friends.
David and Victoria Beckham are believed to have become close with James and Erika Packer when they attended Tom Cruise and now-ex-wife Katie Holmes’s Italian wedding in 2006.
