Yeezy bride Bianca Censori’s ex-boyfriend has given his blessing to her shock nuptials with rapper Kanye West.
“I support them, Censori’s ex, Nick, told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa radio sow on Wednesday. “If Bianca is happy, I am happy for her. She has always been supportive of my relationships. I wish them the best and hope it’s a modern-day love story.”
Nick said he and Censori dated for six years, and split up in 2020.
“We have been through a huge amount together through high school and through university. We met as teenagers in the suburb of Ivanhoe around the age of 14 in 2007 and began dating in 2014.”
He added: “We broke up the day before Melbourne lockdown in March, 2020. Bianca has always been bigger than Melbourne and we both knew this.
“One time we travelled to America, and she told me she would live there one day. The girl is extremely talented and took the leap to go chase her dream of being a famous architect which she’s achieved.”
Censori, from Kew, made global headlines after revelations she secretly married West last week.
The undercover wedding came two months after West finalised his divorce with business mogul and reality show star Kim Kardashian.
Nick also agreed with popular opinion that Censori was not a fan of West’s music.
“I wouldn’t say she was the biggest fan of Kanye at the time,” he said, “but I do have hilarious videos of her dancing in a boxy outfit to the song ‘I Love It’.”
CENSORI NOT A FAN OF KANYE WEST’S MUSIC
A Carey Grammar school friend of unexpected Yeezy bride Bianca Censori says the Kew beauty was not a fan of Kanye West’s music.
The friend, named Kate, went to school with Censori from Prep to Year 12. She is the cousin of Belle Jackson, co-host of Nova’s Ben, Liam and Belle breakfast show.
“I knew her pretty well,” Kate told the radio show. She was definitely in the popular group and she was known for her big boobs. That was kind of her thing.
“She was pretty hot. She was the hot one, friends with all the guys. (But) she was lovely.
“She wasn’t one of the bitchy popular high school girls. I’ve got nothing bad to say about her.”
Kate said West appeared to have scouted Censori via social media.
“What I know is, she was studying architecture at (the University of) Melbourne, and then Ye slid into her DMs – found her on Instagram – and said, ‘Come and work for me,’ and she dropped out. I’m not actually sure if she’s an architect.”
Asked if Censori was a Kanye West fan, Kate replied. “No. Not more than anyone else. She wasn’t huge on him.”
Kate said she was surprised West found Censori on socials, adding: “She didn’t have a huge following. Now all her social media is gone.”
Censori, from Kew, secretly tied the knot with West last week.
She works as an architect at his company Yeezy.
Bianca said she wants her work to break taboos.
She said: “There’s a lot of taboos about being human. There’s a lot of things we do that we prefer to hide.
“But it’s recognising those things, bringing them to light and celebrating them.”

Bombshell bride Bianca Censori has opened up about her dream job: the architect designer wife of rapper Kanye West wants to design a cemetery.
Kew-raised Censori, who secretly tied the knot with West last week, also says she wants her work to break taboos.
Censori, a lead architect at West’s company Yeezy, said: “I think we have a responsibility to recognise that what dominates the space is a human. This is something I always push.
“There’s a lot of taboos about being human. There’s a lot of things we do that we prefer to hide in space. There’s a lot of things that ... aren’t talked about.
“But it’s recognising those things, bringing them to light and celebrating them.”
Asked by students what her “dream project” would be, Censori replied, laughing: “To design a cemetery. That would be my ultimate.”
Meanwhile, an imminent showdown with West’s ex-wife, business mogul and social media queen Kim Kardashian, appeared to be on hold on Monday.
Kardashian, who reportedly “hates” Censori, according to industry insiders, postponed hostilities to focus on daughter Chicago’s fifth birthday party.
Chicago is one of four children Kardashian had with West. The couple married in 2014, and their divorce was finalised last November.
Kardashian posted pictures of the Hello Kitty themed birthday party, heavily decorated in pink.
Days earlier, she said on Instagram in response to West’s unexpected nuptials: “I’m really in my quiet girl era, I don’t have much to say. Just much to do.”
As Censori’s profile continued to rise, traces of her Melbourne life have emerged.
Her flair for design was evident at school, with Carey Baptist Grammar’s VCE honours lists from 2012 revealing the architecture graduate received a score of 46 out of 50 in studio arts.
The school’s 2011 yearbook also showcased some of Censori’s student artwork, including what appeared to be a photograph of pursed lips.
The Carey Chronicle also captured a teenage Censori posing for the school’s debate team photo.
Censori was part of the elite school’s rowing team, with Associated Public Schools of Victoria records listing her as cox for Carey’s sixth-placed Division B year 10 girls’ coxed four.
Censori’s work also featured at a Melbourne Design Week last year. She was part of a group exhibition, Vital Pleasures, which offered a “platform for designers to question what it means to design and create in a world of uncertain futures”.
