Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness has spoken out for the first time since her high-profile split with the actor after answering a cold call from Kyle Sandilands.

Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife has spoken out for the first time since her high-profile split after she was accidentally called by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson on-air this morning.

Deborra-Lee Furness, 67, surprisingly picked up the call after the radio duo accidentally rang her from their KIIS FM studios in Sydney.

Sandilands and Henderson were seemingly surprised when she answered and admitted they did not mean to hit “dial”.

“Seriously, this isn’t a stitch up,” Sandilands told Furness when she picked up on The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

“We didn’t mean to actually call you. But now you’re here, we won’t go into it. We love you, we hope you’re well.”

“Thank you, guys. I really appreciate it. You’re really sweet,” Furness told Sandilands and Henderson.

While Jackman has spoken out since the couple announced their divorce in a joint statement released to People magazine, the actress has not been seen or heard from since.

Sandilands was quick to point out that the duo weren’t after a scoop.

“I just feel it’s too soon,” the shock jock told Furness over the phone. “I don’t want to get involved in anything. But we love you, and you ring us when you want to chat.”

“I’m not here to stitch anyone up in the worse time in their life,” Sandilands said after the call ended.

However, despite the offer for Furness to chat to the radio hosts when she is ready, it will be unlikely she will do so.

When Furness and Jackman released their joint statement weeks ago, they said that would be the one and only time they will both speak publicly about the break-up.

It comes as Jackman turned to his Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds and the movie’s film director following the breakdown of his marriage.

The Australian actor, 54, and Reynolds, 46, were all smiles as they were photographed alongside director Shawn Levy while sitting in the kitchen and eating.

Both Jackman and Reynolds are set to reprise their Marvel characters Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, with filming underway for the upcoming Deadpool 3.

“Three amigos waiting to shoot again,” Levy captioned the post on Instagram, which was reposted by Jackman.

While Jackman and Reynolds have long entertained a fake feud with one another in the media, the pair are known to be very close.

The pair were even photographed going for a stroll in New York, just two days after Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced their split after 27 years.

The news of their divorce sent shockwaves around the world as fans were left reeling and wondering what went wrong for one of Australia’s most enduring celebrity couples.

In the shock announcement, they released a joint statement confirming an end to their high-profile relationship.

The couple, who share two adult children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, added that the announcement, would be “the sole statement either of us will make”.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” they said.

“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

It comes as Jackman promoted his charity work this week and called on his millions of followers to support an end to global poverty and back the upcoming Global Citizens Festival being held in New York City.

The popular live event is being held in the Big Apple this weekend, and Jackman has hosted it a couple of times as one of its original devout supporters.
