Harry Potter and the Cursed Child priority booking tickets sold out in Melbourne

DEMAND for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child priority booking tickets was so great today, the first allocation has already sold out in hours. But here’s how you can get your hands on the next ticket release.

DEMAND for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child priority booking tickets was so great today, the first allocation has already sold out.

Punters will have to now wait until 12pm this Wednesday for a new allocation of priority tickets to be released.

Today was the first day people on the priority waiting list had the chance to purchase tickets to the two-part play that opens next January.

Twitter was awash with comments about being number 35,000 or 40,000 in the queue, with most people waiting up to three hours for their tickets to be processed.

But the production released a statement at about 4.15pm to say priority booking tickets had sold out.

“The allocation has been increased and additional priority booking tickets will be available from 12pm Wednesday, August 1, 2018 to mailing list subscribers with a unique booking code,” the statement said.

Subscribers to the priority booking list will now have to wait until Wednesday August 1 to queue up online for tickets.

Priority booking will continue until 11pm Thursday August 2 or until sold out.

Anyone who misses out though can buy general public tickets that go on sale from next Monday August 5 at 9am via HarryPotterThePlay.com
