Why Bec Judd doesn’t want to be described as a ‘supermum’

She’s a working mum with four young and sporty kids so Bec Judd is “stretched to the limit”. And Mother’s Day will be no different.

Rebecca Judd is happy not to be known as a supermum.

She might be the queen of Melbourne’s red carpets, one of the city’s original social media influencers, an ambassador for Chadstone, and a savvy businesswoman to boot, but Judd is happiest to be known as a busy mum cheering her four children on at junior sporting events.

Judd is kept busy juggling school and sporting commitments for her three sons and daughter Billie.

“Sport dominates our lives,” Judd said.

“I would rather be busy running them off in all different directions than have them at home sitting on screens.

“I am happy to be a busy, working mum who has sporty kids, who are all training in different locations, and playing games, at the same times, at different times at ovals around Melbourne.

“We are stretched to the limit, but these are the golden years and we have young kids, out and about, busy, playing sport, loving life and thriving.

“It is full on, but it is really enjoyable. There is nothing I like more than watching my kids play sport. It brings me so much joy.”

Mother’s Day is likely to see Judd at an 8am game of junior footy with her boys, Oscar, Tom and Darcy.

“On their way out the door they will 100 per cent bring me a coffee and maybe some toast,” she said.

For Judd, Chadstone is the one stop place for families looking for Mother’s Day gifts, dining options, entertainment and inspiration.

“I am lucky as a Chadstone ambassador I get involved in putting together the gift guide, for Christmas or Mother’s Day, so there are lots of my favs in there,” she said.

“I pretty much give Juddy (husband Chris) the gift guide and send him off with the kids (to get a present) and they can surprise me.

“He goes and makes a day of it there.

“I love any gorgeous smelly candles, Diptyque from Mecca are my favourite, and there were some pieces from Seed that caught my eye when Billie and I did some filming there recently.”
