AFL favourite Dane Swan admits his annual end of year travels with Richmond superstar Dustin Martin will be decidedly less exotic this year, thanks to COVID-19. But the pair doesn’t plan to just sit on the couch.

Footy favourite Dane Swan has admitted his annual end of year travels with Richmond superstar Dustin Martin will be decidedly less exotic this year, thanks to COVID-19.
Having let off steam in LA, Austin, Las Vegas, Mexico and Bali previously, Swan said their 2020 post-footy adventures looked like being at more achievable locations such as Portsea, Daylesford and even Shepparton … yes, Shepparton.
These two could relaunch Shepparton as a tourist hotspot if they did bob up at the home of SPC Ardmona.
Swan said with COVID-19 scuttling international travel, they had yet to put together their new plans for their under-the-radar boys’ trip.
“We are definitely going to do something whether it is a home in Portsea or Shepparton or on the Gold Coast, Daylesford or wherever we bloody can,” Swan told the Swanny and Friends podcast.
“It has been a lonely existence for the last six or seven months so it would be nice to get away with a few of the boys. I have not seen anyone for six months so it would be nice to see them all and not have a curfew and not have to come home and sleep. So yeah, we will (do a trip).”
