Tim Smith snapped waiting for tram after losing licence over drunken crash

Disgraced Liberal Tim Smith would seem to be learning the ropes of public transport since returning to Melbourne following a stint overseas in London.

Disgraced politician Tim Smith was snapped by a driver waiting at a tram stop in Kew.

A photo appeared on Twitter on Friday – seemingly originating from a Kew facebook group – of what appears to be the former loudmouth opposition frontbencher and self described “idiot” waiting for a tram in his electorate.

Gone is his Jaguar and in its place is the No. 48 tram.

If it is not Smith, he has a doppelganger riding the local PT system.

Smith disappeared from the spotlight in the wake of crashing his car into a Hawthorn home on the night of October 30 and returning a breath test reading of 0.131 – almost three times the legal blood alcohol limit.

His licence was immediately suspended and he was fined $750.

Smith is not contesting the next election.
