The Brownless and Lyon families have again shared Christmas, but this time with more to celebrate

Billy Brownless and Garry Lyon have reunited at Christmas, with a celebration of love making the occasion even more special.

Billy Brownless and Garry Lyon have once again marked the happiest time of the year — Christmas — together with a celebration of love being the icing on the cake at the annual family gathering.

Brownless joined his ex-wife, Nicky, and their children, Lucy, Ruby, Oscar and Max, and Nicky’s partner Lyon for Christmas lunch. Ruby’s fiance Josh Wallis and Lucy’s partner Paddy McCartin were among those present.

The gathering was also a chance for the family to mark Ruby’s engagement to Wallis, the son of Stephen Wallis, a former Western Bulldogs star player and successful businessman.

Wallis popped the question earlier in December on Hayman Island.

Odd couple Brownless and Lyon have shared Christmas together with Nicky and the Brownless kids for the past three years.

The pair have come a long way since 2016 when their friendship imploded after Brownless discovered Lyon was dating Nicky, following the end of her marriage to the former Geelong star.

Lyon left the now defunct Footy Show, of which he and Brownless were key members, soon after.

It took until Christmas 2020 for Brownless and Lyon to be pictured together and share some festival cheer.

While Lyon and Nicky are very much together, Brownless has also moved on.

He stepped out with his girlfriend of several months, Justine, at Stakes Day at Flemington in November.
