Sydney Stack reveals his new AFLW girlfriend

After his footy season was marred by scandal and a break-up, Sydney Stack has gone public with his new love — and she’s another AFLW star.

AFL Season Kicks Off in Empty Melbourne Stadium

Richmond’s Sydney Stack would seem to have recovered from his late night Gold Coast dalliance with a strip club, kebabs and a barney with a drunk and has gone public with a new girlfriend.

The young Tiger is seeing Mikayla Morrison, an exciting young player from Perth who will make her AFLW debut with the Fremantle Dockers in 2021.

At just 18, her signing to the Dockers in the AFLW draft was described as bringing the “X-factor” to the club.

Stack, 20, tagged a picture of himself and Morrison “My Day One!” on his Instagram page this week.

Morrison returned the favour by sharing a photo of the pair on her social media with the caption “You and I,” complete with a love heart.

With Morrison based in WA and Stack in Melbourne there will be plenty of travel and distance logistics for the pair to navigate.

Stack had previously been dating Richmond AFLW star Monique Conti.

The pair announced their split in August.

Stack and his Tiger teammate Callum Coleman-Jones hit the headlines in September when they were sent home from the AFL’s Queensland hub after being caught breaching the hub protocol by going to the Hollywood Showgirls strip club on the Gold Coast.

The secret visit to the gentlemen’s club did not stay secret for long after the pair were accosted by a boozed passer-by at a nearby Kebab shop and ended up in a scuffle – all of which was caught on CCTV.

It was a night of bad decisions that saw them both booted from Richmond’s Grand Final campaign.

The pair quickly apologised for their behaviour with Stack saying: “I’m very sorry, understand the seriousness of it and can do nothing now but own the consequences.”

Stack has spent time in Western Australia since the kebab scandal while Coleman-Jones headed to South Australia.

The pair were suspended for 10 matches for their indiscretion and will be eligible to play for Richmond round five of the 2021 season.
