Collingwood football club captain Darcy Moore has suggested one of Australia’s most lauded actors be picked as the club’s new number one supporter.
The Magpies do not have a number one ticket holder at present and Moore’s thoughts are that the honour should go to an actress who is an ardent fan of the club.
“I am going to say Asher Keddie should be our number one ticket holder,” Moore told the ABC on Saturday.
“I am good friends with Asher and her husband Vincent and I have seen some footage of her in the dying seconds of some close games and she definitely has what it takes to be the number one ticket holder.
“She is as passionate as they come, let’s just say that.”
Keddie continues to be a celebrated performer and has landed two nominations in the 2025 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards (AACTA) as Best Lead Actress in a Drama for her role in Fake and Best Acting in a Comedy for her performance in Strife.
The AACTAs will be held on the Gold Coast in February.
