Sarita Holland opens up on culture of predatory wannabe WAGs

Sarita Holland is no stranger to predatory wannabe WAGs with an eye for sportsmen — and there’s one popular end-of-season destination that she believes men cannot visit “without having sex”.

Podcaster and lifestyle blogger Sarita Holland has opened up the culture of predatory wannabe WAGs with an eye for sportsmen.

Holland, who is married to former Pies star Brodie Holland, has told how during her husband’s AFL days she was often treated as though she was invisible by women keen to hit on footy players.

“I have been there, I have stood there, and I have had women throw themselves at Brodie right in front of me and say disgusting things with me standing right there,” she said, recalling Holland’s playing days in the early 2000s.

“I was fairly lucky, compared to some.

“Some of Brodie’s other footy mates would be standing with their girlfriends and there would be girls who would come and say some really crass things with no respect for themselves. Not every girl was or is like that, I definitely don’t want people to think that.

“And it is not just footballers that this happens to, but with footballers they get more opportunity.’’

“Also, it is up to the man to be able to say no if they are in a relationship.

“Look, I don’t know why you would want to suss out someone who is already in a relationship.”

Holland has spoken about relationships and marriage with Rachel De Oliveira on their Couch Confidentials podcast.

WHAT REALLY CAUSED MEATLOAF’S AFL NIGHTMARE?

She has labelled Las Vegas, a popular end-of-season destination, as a location that is ripe with over-the-top temptation.

“A lot of men are programmed differently to women. I do not believe a man can go to Vegas without having sex with a woman,” she said.

“Vegas is very sexual. Everyone is there for a good time. They are there to drink and party, party, party.”

“I am not saying it is just men (that get tempted), it is just a place where you go and party hard.”
