Sam Newman confirms sex doll fake passenger stunt on Melbourne’s freeways

The former Footy Show star has confirmed rumours that drivers are using sex dolls to fast track their way down Melbourne freeways, claiming he’s seen it in action.

Sam Newman has endorsed claims that life size sex dolls are being used as fake passengers in cars travelling in the transit lanes on Melbourne freeways, saying the deception has been happening for years.

However, the former Footy Show star believes rather than expensive mannequins sly drivers are carting around dolls of the blow up variety and using them to masquerade as passengers.

Newman said he had seen the fake passenger stunt in action on the Eastern Freeway.

A sex toy company claimed last week there had been a rush on its supply of sex dolls with 300 of the $3000, 50kg mannequins being sold in the past two months.

The company believes the dolls are being used as passengers by drivers fed up with Melbourne’s clogged roads and wanting to use restricted lanes. Its claims are based on the comment of one customer on the company’s website.

“This has been going on for years,” Newman told his You Cannot Be Serious podcast audience on Wednesday.

“I have seen it on the Eastern Freeway.

“I have seen them pull up when they get to Hoddle Street. you look over and go ‘sh*t.’

“I have noticed a blow up doll with a wig on it (it the passenger seat in the car next to me).”
