Sorry fans of sequins, stilettos, champagne and shrieking, but The Real Housewives Of Melbourne looks to be out of fashion.
Word from well placed sources is the show is highly unlikely to be returning for a new season on Foxtel.
“No, those girls f*cked it up,” an insider quipped at the Logies at the prospect of more Housewives action.
The most recent season of Real Housewives of Melbourne was unfortunately a let down for fans.
While the returning OG cast of Janet Roach, Gamble Breaux and Jackie Gillies were embraced by Housewives diehards, the new cast members Cherry Dipietrantonio, Kyla Kirkpatrick, Simone Elliott and Anjali Rao didn’t add much, if any, magic to the reality circus.
Rao was a bizarre miscast from the outset and ended up walking out on the show mid-season. There was not even a reunion episode filmed to round out the season.
While the show is unlikely to return to Foxtel, that could open the door for another broadcaster to pick up the Housewives brand and perhaps even explore other Australian cities.
