Richmond superstar Dustin Martin makes cameo at friend’s wedding

Richmond star Dustin Martin has emerged from his footy hiatus to attend his mate’s big day, appearing front and centre in the celebrations.

Richmond superstar Dustin Martin has emerged from his footy hiatus, supporting mates at a bayside wedding.

Martin was among the guests at the Port Melbourne Yacht Club where BoxingFit boss Mick Hargraves tied the knot with his partner Vicky Sim last Saturday.

Martin attended the joyous celebration with his longtime friend, former West Coast Eagles player Michael Gardiner.

Dusty was front and centre in the celebrations.

Social media videos and snaps show him and another guest hoisting the bride on their shoulders so as she is lifted above the crowd with her husband.

Martin took personal leave from the Tigers 10 days ago.

Richmond has not gone into any detail about his absence from the club.

Martin lost his father, Shane, in December last year when he passed away suddenly in New Zealand aged 54.

“We will give him time and wish him all the very best and now we can’t wait to welcome him back at some stage,” Tiger’s coach Damien Hardwick said of Martin during the week.

While he is facing personal issues, Martin’s appearance at last weekend’s wedding shows he is very much surrounded by, and supported by, his tight-knit circle of good mates as he works through his concerns.

While well-known in sporting circles, Hargraves has a connection to the world of celebrity.

His daughter Tatum Hargraves was a contestant on the last season of The Bachelor.
