Recently retired Geelong champion Tom Hawkins is quickly kicking on to his new career, signing with Fox Footy.
The three-time premiership player and Cats games record-holder, Hawkins is the latest big name to join Fox Footy’s team of AFL experts.
The Hawkins deal follows on from the announcement last month that Shaun Burgoyne would be part of Fox Footy in 2025.
A regular guest on AFL 360 during his playing career, Hawkins will add his
expertise and analysis to Fox Footy’s ‘Super Saturday Live’ coverage in 2025.
Next year is the start of a landmark rights deal signed by the Foxtel Group.
Super Saturday Live, available on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, will be the only way
to watch games live on Saturday until at least Round 8 of the season.
Fox Sports managing director Steve Crawley said the signing of Hawkins was a win for viewers.
“With our expanded rights next year, we’ve been on the hunt for top talent and Tom Hawkins is a great get. He’s a great footy brain, he’s universally admired, and our audiences will
love his raw and authentic opinions,” Crawley said.
A five-time All Australian, Hawkins retired from the game in September after playing 359 games over 18 seasons.
He will join experts at Fox Footy including Jason Dunstall, Eddie Betts, Nathan
Buckley and Cameron Mooney.
