Figures don’t lie and based on the ratings the bold and controversial decision by Channel 10 to recast the MasterChef judges and bring back viewer favourites as contestants this season has handsomely paid off with the show drawing its biggest audience numbers in four years.

The average overnight audience figures since 2016 have been 1,046 million for the 2016 series, 855,000 in 2017, 836,000 in 2018, and 644,000 in 2019. So far this year the overnight average audience for the series has been 1.007 million.

The show is also having its biggest broadcast video on demand season ever on 10 Play.
