Music icon John Farnham to be honoured at Logie Awards
This year’s Logie Awards is set to celebrate the career of music legend John Farnham with a special performance by two of Australia’s brightest stars.

Australian music icon John Farnham’s incredible career will be celebrated at this year’s Logie Awards with a special performance by two of the country’s biggest singing stars.
Farnham has a long and storied history with the Logies.
He won Best Teenage Personality on TV five years running from 1969 — 1973 and collected the trophy for Most Popular Music Video on five occasions in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
The documentary John Farnham: Finding The Voice is nominated this year in the category of Best Factual or Documentary Program.
Singers Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy will join forces in a special celebration of Farnham’s career and achievements and the runaway success of the Logie-nominated documentary.
Meanwhile, Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown will return for the second year running as hosts of the red carpet at the Logies.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Missy Higgins will perform during the In Memoriam segment in honour of those who have passed in the past 12 months.
The TV Week Logie Awards will be held at The Star in Sydney on Sunday, August 18 with confirmed guests including Kate Miller-Heidke, Amy Shark, Ada Nicodemou, Shaynna Blaze, Shelly Craft, David Campbell, Hamish Blake, Ally Langdon, Marg Downey, Kitty Flanagan, Tom Gleeson, Denise Scott, Asher Keddie, Lincoln Younes, Lisa McCune and Rob Collins. Sam Pang returns as host of the awards which will be broadcast on Channel 7.
