Pop sensation Tones and I has revealed in cheeky fashion that she’s “going steady” with a Hollywood heart-throb who slid into her DMs.
The “Fly Away” hitmaker delighted crowds on Thursday night with an exclusive acoustic set displaying her vocal chops with Nova’s Red Room in Melbourne.
Hosted by Nova’s late drive team Ben, Liam and Belle, Tones regaled fans with her very relatable reaction when Chris Hemsworth popped up in her Instagram messages.
“ … It made me go, what the f--k!” Tones recalled, renacting the moment her jaw dropped.
Trying to keep her cool, the star quipped: “Aw no. I just wanted to be friends with him but he’s going to see this and think I’m fanning out – I am!”
Tones, whose high-fashion transformation has been turning heads, clarified the “God of Thunder” reached out to heap praise on new song “Sorrento” off her new album.
“... But now we’re chatting, we’re going steady,” she joked with fans.
To dispel any harmful rumours of martial woes, Page 13 must stress that Tones’ husband Jimmy Bedford was watching on, while Hemsworth remains loved-up with wife Elsa Pataky.
It comes as the chart topper, who last week broke down in an emotionally charged interview with Drew Barrymore, shared insight into her new chapter focusing on self-love.
“Everywhere I went — interviews, radio stations — anywhere I went I thought everyone hates me and it really affected me going out in public, it affected so much of my life,” she said.
“It was never really like that before. When I was a busker I was full of life, I loved everyone, I was so full of life and love and then I hated myself and everything for so long.
“Slowly, this year, I don’t know what this year means for me, but I started liking myself more. I think people started knowing who I was more.”
