Miss World Australia national finalist Becky Wolfe has unleashed a flock of pampered pomeranians for a doggie derby in one of the beauty quest’s more unique fundraising undertakings.
Wolfe, 18, the daughter of Melbourne laser eye surgeon Rick Wolfe, turned to her stepmother, Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux for ideas to raise money for Miss World’s Beauty With A Purpose charity partner, Variety, with the result being a racing afternoon featuring Breaux’s famous Pomeranians.
The dogs, Tank, Cash, Barry, Tigerlily, Wicket and Apex, developed their own fanbase on the much loved reality show.
“We wanted to do something different so we came up with the idea of racing the six dogs against each other,” Wolfe said.
“They weren’t very well behaved, they did not stay in their lanes.
“But it was great fun and we want to do it as an annual event now.”
Wolfe said she was “excited and grateful” to have made it through to the Miss World Australia national final.
“I have never done a pageant before so this is all new to me. It has been a great experience so far,” she said.
While her brother Luke did appear on Real Housewives, Wolfe was not part of the show.
“I was quite young when it was all happening,” she said.
