Mia Fevola slams social media bullies who questioned how she funded her clothing range

Budding fashion entrepreneur Mia Fevola has called out social media creeps who have questioned how she funded her new clothing range, saying she would not be asked those questions if she was a man. Here’s how she clapped back at the naysayers.

Budding entrepreneur Mia Fevola has called out trolls who question how she funded her activewear fashion range, saying too often women face anonymous and unfair undermining.

Fevola, the daughter of former footy star turned radio ace, Brendan Fevola, has highlighted harsh comments on her social media from pests doubting that she self-funded her MALLT Collective brand.

Her issue is simply that these questions would not be asked if it was a man launching a business and that she has worked hard and invested her own savings in the project.

Her sharp reply was impressive.

“It really annoys me when I see messages or comments like this,” she wrote.

“I’ve used no one’s money but my own to start and run my business, and I’ve done it while also being in my final year of university so please don’t undermine me!

“What bothers me so much is that if you were a man no one would even question whose money you’re using and that is so unfair!

“People hold women to such (a) high standard which isn’t a problem but if you’re going to (then) hold men to the same level of standards.”

As a smart young woman with good ideas and an interest in business and marketing she deserves to be acknowledged for spotting a gap in the market and backing herself.

And her point about women having to deal with greater judgment than men is also interesting and valid.
