Success is the best revenge on a snarky ex and Lauren Phillips has landed a coveted new radio role.

Phillips, whose ex-husband, Lachlan Spark, in an astonishing Instagram post last week was brutal in his assessment of why his year-long marriage to the TV presenter failed, is riding a career and personal high.

Her breakfast television weather presenter role has grown her profile nationally, and radio is now in the mix.

Phillips is now dating Paul O’Brien.

Phillips will host Summer Breakfast for Melbourne’s KIIS FM from December 7 to 18 alongside Ryan Jon.

The two-week summer window is often used as a testing ground for talent earmarked for bigger things.

“Summer in Melbourne is my favourite time of the year and I can’t wait to have lots of laughs with our listeners,” Phillips said.

She has returned to Melbourne after five months in Byron Bay where she bunked in with Chris Hemsworth’s trainer, Luke Zocchi.

Phillips is currently dating Samantha Armytage’s ex-boyfriend, Paul O’Brien, who runs an aviation charter business used by the Hemsworths and other A-listers.

“I am living with Zocchi, little Luke Zocchi, he is the best,” she said before leaving Byron.

“I really thought it would be like coming to a boot camp and I would come back with muscles and a six pack but unfortunately I have managed to get the COVID-19 body like everybody else.”

Phillips has maintained a dignified silence as Spark raked through the cold ashes of their failed union on social media and in interviews last week.

And really, who needs to look back and dwell in the past when your life is moving forward?
