Former Geelong champion Jimmy Bartel is set to be a dad for the third time.

Bartel announced he and his partner Amelia Shepperd were expecting a child by sharing a ‘gender reveal’ video on his Instagram stories.

The footage showed his two sons from his marriage to his former wife Nadia Bartel, jumping gleefully as the balloon popped and showered them with pink confetti signalling a baby girl was on the way.

“Baby Bartel, you’re already so incredibly loved,” the Channel 7 and 3AW presenter wrote expressing his delight on Saturday.

Bartel confirmed his relationship with Shepperd in December last year via social media where he shared a photo of the pair kissing with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background.

One word, “Happy” and an emoji, a love heart, summed up his state of mind.

The couple celebrated their one year anniversary in August this year.

Bartel split from his now ex-wife Nadia in 2019.

Nadia is in dating Melbourne personal trainer and model Peter Dugmore.
