The superstar Tiger’s empire continues to grow with a fitness app looming as the latest addition to Martin’s suite of off-field endeavours.

Martin is preparing to share the secrets of his extraordinary footy skills and legendary fitness via the app which is understood to be called Drip.

A trademark application has been made for the name Drip by Dustin Martin with the filing covering services including video-on-demand, coaching services for sporting activities, sports instruction services, personal trainer services, and fitness training.

The application has been made by a company named Drip Fitness of which Martin is shareholder and his manager, Ralph Carr, is one of the directors. Carr declined to comment yesterday.

The app marks the next stage in the evolution of “brand Dusty” and sees him joining the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Sam Wood, Michelle Bridges, Tiffiny Hall and the KIC gurus Steph Claire Smith and Laura Henshaw as celebrities with fitness apps and online workout programs.

Martin already has substantial endorsement arrangements with the likes of Bonds, luxury watch retailer Kennedy, Voost Vitamins and Nike.

He has also made significant strategic investments in property in the Richmond and Abbotsford area. Martin is part-way through a $9m, seven-year contract with the Richmond Football Club and a documentary tracking his incredible career is in the works.

He is without question one of the best known and most marketable players in the AFL and any insight into his preparation, training and silky skills development would be eagerly lapped up by footy fans, budding players and those interested in health and wellness.

Martin returned to the Richmond side for Friday night’s match against Geelong which saw the Tigers spanked by the Cats.

He was last month linked to model Jessica Gomes.
