North Melbourne WAG Chloe Pink is turning online bullying trauma into charity by auctioning her wedding dress for anti-bullying organisation Dolly's Dream Australia.
North Melbourne WAG Chloe Pink, who was targeted by online trolls over her wedding photos, is auctioning off her wedding dress to support an anti-bullying charity.
Pink has become a powerful voice in calling out disgraceful and harmful bullying in the online space after she endured disgusting, hurtful comments and abuse about her appearance from social media cowards when she shared photos from her March wedding to North Melbourne defender Toby Pink.
Six months later she reshot her wedding photos.
Pink is now auctioning her wedding gown with funds going to Dolly’s Dream Australia, a charity that aims to changing the culture of bullying and its impact through education and support.
“This dress, which has been part of both beautiful and difficult moments, now has a new purpose,” Pink said.
“Earlier this year, after Toby and I were married in March, I experienced a wave of severe online bullying and body shaming,” Pink said.
“What should have been one of the happiest times of my life became incredibly challenging, and it opened my eyes to just how harmful and far-reaching cyber-bullying can be, no matter your age, stage of life, or circumstances.”
The online auction of Pink’s beautiful custom made gown closes on Tuesday night.
