The UK super chef is in town filming Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars for Channel 9.
The show started filming with a live audience on Friday with shooting dates listed between April 14 and May 9.
That puts Ramsay in Australia for the best part of a month.
The Australian version of Food Stars has started production not long after one of Ramsay’s UK shows, Next Level Chef, bit the dust.
The show has been dropped after one season by ITV.
Food Stars has been described as The Apprentice for food.
Ramsay and Melbourne business whiz Janine Allis will mentor and advise 14 potential “food stars”.
The contestants will be split into teams and set challenges and have to withstand rigorous questioning about whether they have the smarts, skills and a valid business idea to survive in the real world.
A winning idea from each team will take home a cash prize to pump up their business.
Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars has already been produced in the US and the UK where a second season is soon to air.
