The rise, fall and rise again of Brendan Fevola has continued with the former AFL goal kicking machine and his family making some serious million dollar trades in the Melbourne property market.
Fevola and his ex-wife turned fiancee Alex recently dropped more than $3 million on a lavish five bedroom family home in a highly desirable pocket of Hampton in February.
The couple followed up that purchase by offloading their Brighton East home last weekend for about $2.2 million.
The four bedroom property, that the family purchased in 2019 for $2.15 million, was sold by Hocking Stuart Belle Property Sandringham.
The pair celebrated their auction success with wine and an Instagram post.
While Fevola is flying high as a member of Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick breakfast radio show it was not so long ago that the former Carlton star was broke and divorced after a gambling addiction screwed up his life.
He was made bankrupt in 2013 and estimated at that time he had lost about $1million on the punt. He even sold his 2006 Coleman medal so he could gamble.
“I got the cash, probably lost it the next day on the punt,” he said last month.
But now after seeking treatment for his issues and reconciling with his now fiance, Alex, Fevola is back on top.
The turnaround started with his appearance on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here and has continued with his Fox role. He signed a new deal with the Hit Network, owner of Fox, late last year.
Fevola has often told how he does not have anything in his name in the aftermath of his gambling woes and that Alex manages the family finances.
This includes the family properties.
Alex is a savvy business woman in her own right, owning the Runway Room saloons and cosmetic brand.
“I have nothing man, I got nothing in my name,” he told Fox last month.
“Everything is in Alex’s name.”
