When it comes to finding love, former Footy Show great Billy Brownless describes himself as a “fisherman.”
“We are keeping our options open and we are just out there,” Brownless mused.
“It is a big ocean so we are fishing.
“I am not a very good fisherman, by the way, but I am a fisherman.”
Brownless has fielded inquiries about his personal life after his mischief making Triple M footy cohorts ribbed him on air about mysterious dates.
After quitting The Sunday Footy Show after 27 years at the end of last year, Brownless has been had to miss on TV of late.
He returned to The Sunday Footy Show last weekend in a cameo role and prior to that popped up on The Front Bar.
He admitted he had missed TV.
“It is a bit like footy, you know, you miss it in the early days but then honestly by the time I wake up now on a Sunday it is 9.30am and we were on air (with The Sunday Footy Show) at 10am so it is kind of nice to have a day off, because that is the only day I have off,” he said.
“I miss those boys and it was a good show. I enjoyed the show.
“I also enjoyed doing The Front Bar. It was the first time I had been into Channel 7 and I enjoyed the boys. It is not a bad gig when they have good highlights of you, you get paid for it and you’re allowed to have a beer.”
Brownless is about to “get fair dinkum” on his IsoWhey weight loss shake program to streamline himself for summer.
“They are not magic,” he cautioned.
“You don’t take them and the next day you wake up and you have lost 10 kilos. You do have to exercise a bit and hopefully eat a bit better and use them to replace one meal a day.”
