Doja Cat makes fans wait for 3 hours, walks off set after just 3 songs at Ms Collins nightclub gig
The US pop-rap megastar made fans wait for three hours and then called time on her set after just three songs in her first-ever Melbourne show.
Fans of US pop-rap megastar Doja Cat have vented their frustration after waiting more than three hours for her to take to the stage only to have her call time on her first-ever Melbourne gig after just 15 minutes.
The artist’s sole Australian nightclub appearance — held at Melbourne’s Ms Collins nightclub on Sunday night — was cut short after three songs when she told the crowd she was losing her voice.
The Grammy-award winning artist, who is set to perform at a sold-out Rod Laver Arena event on Tuesday, sipped tea, danced and signed items but left the stage after performing a trio of songs.
A packed venue of fans, who had paid between $75 to $130 for a ticket, were initially left confused and then left the venue after it was clear the gig by the “Queen of Pop-Rap” was over.
One fan said the show was a big “let-down”.
“I would have appreciated if Doja Cat had communicated her situation earlier in the night and potentially even offered to DJ her own songs,” he said.
“I think the crowd would have appreciated at least seeing her on stage for more than 15 minutes. It was a let-down”.
The Kiss Me More and Paint the Town Red artist kicked off her Australian tour with a concert in Perth on Saturday.
