Expectant father Dane Swan says he’s been handed more house chores after a “slip up” at the weekend.

The former Collingwood star said he ventured out to watch the Conor McGregor UFC fight and got home late to his pregnant partner Taylor Wilson.

“I slipped up on Sunday, went and watched the fight and got home late. I can’t remember (what time) so late enough,’’ Swan told Jase and PJ in the Morning on KIIS FM.

“She’s not too bad with that kind of stuff, but I’m no good the next day.

“I just sleep all day and I’m like a bum.

“Now I have to do more chores around the house.”

Swan said he understood he needed to help out more but his efforts got off to a rocky start.

“It hasn’t gone swimmingly at the start,’’ he said.

“So sweeping and mopping you’d think would be an easy thing to do but I got the order around the wrong way.

“But the other unfortunate thing about my mopping was I didn’t map out a game plan as how to mop so I got stuck in the corner for 20 minutes waiting for it to dry.

“It didn’t stop there, then she said you need to do the washing.

“I was like OK. The washing was in the washing machine and I thought it had been washed so I grabbed it out and hung it up.

“It hadn’t been washed yet, but to be fair (she) had put them in the washing machine already.”

Swan and Wilson are expecting their first child, a boy, next month.
