Manu Feildel has called for a major overhaul of next year’s My Kitchen Rules after fighting between contestants marred this year’s season.
The celebrity chef (below) says he wants to see “more food and less fighting” in 2019 after the antics this year that saw Sonya and Hadil dumped from the show.
Feildel says the bad behaviour is not only a turn-off for viewers but is simply unfair as it throws other teams off their game.
JESS AND EMMA HAVE ‘NO BAD FEELINGS’
“It (fighting) obviously has a huge impact on everyone involved and makes everyone uncomfortable,” Feildel said.
“It would be hard for anyone to perform under those circumstances.
“What I have been hearing (from viewers) is more food and less fighting — and I echo that.
“I personally, don’t want to see it again. It’s the most intense season I’ve been part of.
“The most crazy decisions we’ve had to make. It was very upsetting.”
Teams have been whittled down to a final four ahead of Sunday night’s grand final, with semi-finals tonight and Thursday.
First up, Vietnamese mums Kim and Suong cook against Italian brothers Josh and Nic.
Melbourne-based Kim and Suong have also had some dramas along the way, with Suong battling a viral infection and being rushed to hospital by ambulance.
They have also had trouble with their desserts.
On Thursday night, Queensland couple Alex and Emily take on waitresses Stella and Jazzey.
The final two will compete in Sunday night’s grand final, 7pm on Seven.
