ONE of football’s high-flying greats, Warwick Capper, is making a whopper foray into business.
The larrikin former Swans and Bears goalkicker is opening Capper’s Big and Tasty Food Diners which he hopes will grow to over 200 shops around Australia.
“We’ve got jaffles and burgers named after me called Hall of Fame and Warwick Capper tight shorts — we’ve already sold 40 shops,’’ he said.
“I’m a shareholder and we’re opening this year.”
Capper has been back living in Melbourne for the past five years.
He competed in TAB’s Footy’s Greatest High Flyer event, alongside Shaun Smith, Andrew Walker, Cameron Ling and Billy Brownless.
He said he was surprised to see the slimline Tony Lockett back coaching at the Swans.
“He’s taken my job and I’m not happy,’’ he said.
“I might try and be a forward coach at Richmond and see if I can get (Jack) Riewoldt to kick 100 goals like me.”
