Time On is your wrap-up of all the footy media gossip and banter.
It can be a challenge holding down two jobs in our news-hungry footy media environment.
SEN listeners got a taste of that on Monday morning when AFL scribe Tom Morris was introduced for his regular spot on the station’s breakfast program.
Host Kane Cornes told listeners Morris was a new minutes away from going on air as he was firming up a big story.
Not long after, Cornes and co-host Nathan Buckley returned from a break to get Morris on.
It was then that Cornes told the audience that Morris had already put the story up on Twitter.
It had also been posted on the Wide World of Sports website, prompting the sharp-tongued Cornes to ask whether Morris was being paid by SEN.
The answer was in the affirmative and, after some brief verbal jousting, things got back to normal.
Buckley, who seemed to enjoy watching from the sidelines, later remarked it was just as well the pair were broadcasting from different cities.
