Sophie Cachia wants to be known as a businesswoman rather than an influencer

Sophie Cachia is a power mum with a huge following but she wants to be known as a CEO, not a mummy blogger.

Sophie Cachia is a flourishing businesswoman who doesn’t want to be known as a mummy blogger.

The former footy WAG and mum of two, who is now happily in a relationship with basketball star Maddie Garrick, has grown her portfolios to become a multi-tasking lady boss.

“People can still view me as an influencer, but the reality is I am now a current CEO, partner and director of three separate companies — one of which will be launching in September,’’ said Cachia who has over 267,000 followers on Instagram.

“My focus over the past two years has been to really diversify my skills and I am loving how much I am learning through business. It’s not just smiling with a product for a pretty picture anymore. It’s board meetings and consulting.

“I have recently brought Mia Plecic, founder and CEO of SlickHairCo, on as one of my business partners with this new company. I want to continue to bring powerful forces together and really make some moves in this world.”

Recently Cachia partnered with Martha Kourtidou and the BODA Hair Boutique team.

She also runs successful pyjama brand, CACHIA, using the surname of ex-husband, Carlton player Jaryd Cachia.

“Last year, I wanted to be really mindful of being sensitive around Covid as I knew the hardships people were facing in the workforce,’’ she said.

“But in a time where everyone was home, and not spending money on winter boots and jackets, they were all spending it on PJs. In one night, we sold over 7,000 pairs. So CACHIA had a fantastic year and has really set us up in a great position moving forward.”

Cachia added she has big plans for the BODA boutique in Moonee Ponds.

“I have spent years travelling across town for quality treatment and service in the hair space and I know many friends who have done the same,’’ she said.

“Moonee Ponds needed BODA and that’s evident with how booked up we have been since opening. Martha has put together such an incredible team and we have some really big things planned for the local community.”
