Sophie Cachia has laughed at suggestions she received a huge pay packet to appear on Australian Survivor: Blood V Water.
It was reported by So Dramatic! from an insider that the influencer and business mogul demanded the most money and was paid $200,000 for her stint on the Channel 10 reality series.
“LOL. Absolutely no truth to that,’’ Cachia responded in a Q&A with her followers on Instagram.
“Anyone who knows anything about networks would know they would never in a million years pay someone like me an absurd amount of money like that. Never asked for a cent.
“But on that note… if anyone has my “200K” lying around, I’ll happily take it off your hands to pay for my therapist.”
Mum of two Cachia is on the show with her sister KJ.
She said she had originally asked her ex Jaryd Cachia to join her.
“We went through the entire process together, until the late stages, until — for casting reasons — they wanted me to bring a female,’’ she wrote.
“Survivor has been a dream of my big sister’s for her entire life, she knows the show back to front, so she was obviously my next in line.
“She burst into hysterical tears when I rang her. They interviewed her & loved our dynamic and the rest is history!
“It was an incredible experience to do with her, every step of the way.
“From quarantining away from our kids for the first time ever together, to some equally tough & magical sister moments.”
Cachia said one of the reasons she did the show was for her son Bobby because it’s his favourite show.
She described the experience as “empowering, painful, inspiring, traumatic, fun, mentally the hardest thing I’ve ever done”.
The new series begins on Monday.
