Sophia Bana VIP guest at Melbourne Fashion Week
The Aussie acting legend’s daughter, Sophia, is taking a big step in the fashion world at a “super exciting” Melbourne event.

Sophia Bana is taking her first big step into the fashion world across Melbourne Fashion Week.
The daughter of acclaimed actor Eric Bana, the 20 year-old dancer is the VIP guest of the celebrated city event, taking place from October 10-16.
“This is the most exciting opportunity I’ve had so far and fashion is important to me,’’ Bana said.
“I’ve got six months left of my full time course (in dancing) and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next. This program looks super exciting.”
Bana, wearing Leo Lin who are showing at the closing runway of M/FW, signed with leading modelling agency The Talent Büro in June.
“I’m absolutely loving it,’’ she said.
“It’s a complete parallel to dancing but I’m really enjoying the experience of doing test shoots, building my portfolio and starting from scratch.”
The M/FW launch on Wednesday will reveal a program featuring more than 600 established and emerging designers and retailers across more than 100 events and sessions, including 10 premium runways and fashion experiences at eight unique city locations.
The City of Melbourne will again partner with Vogue Australia for the Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out (VAEFNO).
Award-winning Indigenous Australian singer, Thelma Plum, will take her talent to the runway, as M/FW ambassador.
