Ricciardo parties in Ibiza during summer break

Australian F1 ace Daniel Ricciardo has been living it up in Europe during his time away from the grid, partying in Ibiza and spending time at the beach with his girlfriend.

Australian F1 ace Daniel Ricciardo is lapping up his summer break after last month making a return to the driver’s seat.

Ricciardo, who is back on the grid with team AlphaTauri, posted happy snaps from his European beach getaway with girlfriend Heidi Berger, and was all smiles as he partied with friends including Mercedes driver George Russell and his girlfriend Carmen Mundt.

In pictures he captioned “Summer slam dump” from Ibiza, Spain, Ricciardo was also seen with top DJs Martin Garrix and Tiesto, as well as Garrix’s photographer Louis van Baar.

Ricciardo is working out, joking and having fun in videos, but also drew some scrutiny with an image enjoying a meal at a table with Berger and friends.

His plate of pizza had a knife and fork on it, with some of his followers questioning the use of cutlery with the popular fast food.

Ricciardo is also seen braving some wild weather on a boat with a towel shielding his body from the wind and choppy seas.

The F1 summer break goes until the Dutch GP in late August.

In his first two races back, Ricciardo finished 13th at the Hungarian Grand Prix and further back in a tricky Belgian race.

The Aussie was last in holiday mode in Italy back in May when he was a groomsman at the stunning wedding of Australian snowboarding champion Scotty James and billionaire heiress Chloe Stroll.

Ricciardo posted a rare picture with model and actor Berger, the daughter of 10-time Grand Prix winner Gerhard Berger, who he has reportedly been seeing for the past four years. In a radio interview in September last year the former Red Bull driver confirmed he is in love.
