Rebecca Harding has spoken of her relief after a bike fall left her with serious injuries.

The model was lucky her partner, comedian Andy Lee, was riding with her when a moth caused her to suddenly swerve late last month.

She ended up in a neck brace at Rosebud Hospital.

“I bought Andy and I bikes for Christmas so we were riding from our place in St Andrews Beach to Cape Schanck,’’ Harding said.

“There were a lot of hills and a car swerved past me right as a moth flew into my ear and gave me a bit of a fright. I flew over the handle bars and landed with the bike on top of me.”

Harding emerged with skin grafts on her elbow, bruising, scratches and stitches in her hip bone.

“I had a few nightmares after and Andy has been washing my hair and doing up my shirt buttons, he’s very caring,’’ she said.

“A lot of people are doing it tougher than me so I’m very lucky. I’ll get back on the bike as they say but I’ll be watching where I go.”

Harding will be recovered in time to appear at the Australian Open tennis with La Roche Posay, the tournament’s official sunscreen.
