‘One club player’: Sport presenter Tony Jones re-signs for another two years at Channel 9
Sport presenter and reporter Tony Jones will stay at Channel 9 for at least two more years, reaffirming his loyalty to the network after many of its stars jumped ship in recent months.

Tony Jones has re-signed with Channel 9 in a move that will take him to 40 years with the network.
The sport presenter and reporter has extended his tenure by a further two years.
“I take great pride in being a one club player,’’ Jones said.
“I could never just come in and present... I enjoy storytelling too much.”
Jones joined the network in 1986 after beginning his career in radio. He began reading weekend sports bulletins in 1988 and moved to week night sports presenting in 1990.
Jones has a way to go to catch newsreader Peter Hitchener who marked 50 years with the network last year. Jo Hall notched the 45 year milestone in June this year.
At Network 10 newsreader Jennifer Keyte has reached 45 years while sport newsreader Stephen Quartermain just this month celebrated 40 years.
Seven newsreader Peter Mitchell is three years shy of 40 years with the network.
Jones is currently filling in for Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings. He also hosts the Sunday Footy Show.
