“I’m up in the dark and go home in the dark, it’s a bit of a rude awakening,’’ she said.

“It’s a shock to say the least but I’ve got into the groove now. The hours are a killer but it’s an elite production.”

Valance is dating a footballer in real life, Essendon ruckman Tom Bellchambers.

“I guess what it’s done is it’s made me realise it’s very dramatised but somewhat real,’’ she said.

Valance was at Federation Square yesterday ahead of the inaugural Anything But Square Festival, taking place next month.

The standout event of the program is the Sensory Underground: an immersive dining experience by Tokyo Tina, taking place in the bunkers of Fed Square on Tuesday night.

“It’s a secret door and you walk into this space and it’s predicting trends in 2045,’’ she said.

“It’s a futuristic sensory experience with a four course meal.”
